As we close out the month of January and head into February, we decided to make a little collection of our 2025 trends and predictions. Read on to find out the stone trends, ring designs, and little details that we think we’ll be seeing tons of in the next year.
1. First up, gold + bold:
Chunky metal is in and here to stay! Whether it's bezel settings or super wide bands, we love how metal has become just as much of a star as stones are. Look for design elements like double bands and fun textures as a way to add a little something special to your ring. For example, wide ridged bands are having a moment in the spotlight right now.

2. Elongated Shapes, the classic with a twist:
Elongated shapes are popular for a reason: they offer great finger coverage and give your hand a very elegant and elongated look. While ovals are a tried-and-true classic, this year we think we are going to see lots of other elongated shapes. Keep an eye out for elongated cushions, radiants, and marquise stones (shoutout Selena Gomez’s new engagement ring for highlighting the marquise).

3. Vintage details, old is new!
Antique and vintage stones and jewelry styles are making a huge comeback. We are seeing lots of antique cut stones (both lab and natural!) as well as designs inspired by older eras of jewelry. Think engravings, detailed metalwork, and old mine/old European cut diamonds.

4. Watch out classic prongs, bezels and halo settings are right there behind you!
You can never go wrong with a classic prong set stone, but other setting styles are becoming hugely popular. We’re seeing diamond halos for those people who like a little extra bling, and bezels and half bezels for our modern metal lovers. There’s lots of ways you can use setting style to make a statement!

5. Last but certainly not least, gemstones!
We here at LP love a diamond, but there are so many gorgeous stones out there! If color is your thing, then get excited because we are continuing to see people feature other gemstones in their rings. Whether you’re a sapphire lover or are transfixed by the deep greens of emeralds, there’s a stone out there for every preference.
