The process of designing an engagement ring starts by scheduling an appointment with me at my studio, L. Priori Jewelry in Philadelphia. Most of my clients have shopped around and have an idea for what kind of ring they’d like, but aren’t sure how to approach the first initial meeting. That’s okay – as the expert, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Here are five steps you can take to be prepared for your custom engagement ring consultation.
1. Perform a Bit of Preliminary Research
A genuinely unique custom engagement ring design is one that will garner much attention. I love it when clients come to me to assist them with designing their ring! However, it is important for you as the buyer to have a feel for what styles you (or your loved one) prefer. By performing some preliminary research, you’ll be able to get in touch with his or her personal style on a deeper level and discover what precious metals and diamond stones are favorited. The more details you bring to the meeting, the clearer the custom ring design will be.

Your custom engagement ring should accurately depict your style the strong bond you share as a couple. With that being said, distinction is key. Take time to create a Pinterest board or DOG-EAR magazine pages with rings you adore. Formulate a vision of your dream engagement ring – if you can. Don’t ever feel stressed about designing your ring because you “aren’t a designer”. I’m here to guide you along this entire journey. The design process will entail many fun steps along the way, and I’ll be helping out with every detail.
4. Give it Time
Before we meet, keep in mind that designing a custom ring requires planning. Getting ready to pop the question is exciting and life-changing, so I understand the eagerness in acquiring your dream ring.
